1- I support the passage of both the library operating millage and the school operating millage. Having served as a member of the Ad Hoc Finance Committee I am aware of how vitally important the passage of both the library millage and the millage renewal are to our school system for the coming year. 2 - I don't see this as an either-or question really. I do feel we should give serious consideration to the planning of a third high school if the projected growth figures suggest that there is now andi will.be a sustained need for such a facility. However, I feel strongly that such a facility, if indeed decided u p o n , should definitely be smaller than Huron and Pioneer. My reasons are twofold; first, I feel these present traditional high schools are too 1 a r g e and impersonal and therefore, contribute to students feeling or becomimg low and isolated and secondly, I feel that the present alternative secondary educational units serve a function other than alleviating overcrowding - one which a third traditional high school could not assume. 3 - I see speciñc curriculum changes as being administrative rather than board decisions; however, if I were in a position to guide the administration in such matters, I would make it known that my priorities lie wtith programs which have a direct impact on kids.
