The murder of Nurse Pauline Campbell in 1951 shocked Ann Arbor. This book was written about the murder and its impact on the community. The photo is of one of the suspects and Ann Arbor Police Department officers looking into the Huron River, where the suspects threw some of Campbell's property. Nurse Pauline Campbell was murdered on March 16, 1951, walking home from work at St. Joseph Hospital. Three Ann Arbor teenagers, William Morey, Jacob Pell and David Royal were convicted of the murder in November, 1951.
