Mrs. Susan R. Pipp, 87, wife of the late Henry G. Pipp, former Ann Arbor building contractor, died yesterday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles J. Sullivan of Detroit, after a long illness. She lived at 1015 Olivia Ave. here.

Born May 22, 1870, in Howell, she was the daughter of Hants and Elizabeth McElgun Russell. She was married to Mr. Pipp in 1890 and had lived in Ann Arbor since then. He died May 2, 1938.

Mrs. Pipp was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church and of the Altar Society of the church.

Surviving besides her daughter, Mrs. Sullivan, are a son, J. Russell Pipp of Ann Arbor; and three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Friends may call at the residence, 1015 Olivia, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. tomorrow. Arrangements were by the Muehlig Chapel.
