Mrs. Charlotte Martin
Mrs. Charlotte A. Martin, 47, of 607 E. Ann St., a resident of Ann Arbor for the past 30 years, died this morning in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a six months' illness.
She was born Oct. 10, 1907, in Mt. Clements, the daughter of George and Mary Trombley Davis.
On Feb. 27, 1924, she married Joseph G. Martin and the couple moved to Ann Arbor where they had lived since. Mr. Martin survives. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Reorganized Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents; three daughters, Mrs. Emmons F. Sumner of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Ray C. Middleton of Detroit, and Mrs. Thomas Groom of Northville, and one son, William J., of Ann Arbor. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Melvin Quackenbush and Mrs. Ida Trombley of Ann Arbor; four brothers, Edward, Lloyd and Louis Davis, all of Ann Arbor and Arthur Davis of Brooklyn, Mich., and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Muehlig Chapel, with the Rev. L. O. Brockway officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery and friends may call at the funeral home.
