HAPPY BIRTHDAY: Twelve-year-old Lena Lou Sturgill, a Girl Scout of Troop Seven at the Rackham School of Special Education in Ypsilanti, receives a piece of the Girl Scout national birthday cake from United Air Lines stewardess, Florence McCabe. The piece of cake, flown from Los Angeles yesterday, was presented to the troop in honor of its help during the past year to hunger-stricken children of Europe. Lena, who suffered an attack of infantile paralysis several years ago and her fellow troop members, all physically handicapped, were taken on a tour of the Mainliner by Capt. W. L. Fagen, nearest the door, and First Officer Price Downey.

THE STUDIER: College students, such as Charles Cottle at the University, are known as big coffee drinkers. It's used often when the time for late studying or examinations arises. And many a college man and coed will drink it on a "coffee date" - an informal, relatively inexpensive and convenient way to socialize with the opposite sex.
