Edith Puckett, Friend of Murdered Nurse Pauline A. Campbell, September 1951 Photographer: Eck Stanger
Year:
1951
Published In:
Ann Arbor News, September 20, 1950
Caption:
Friend Of Murdered Nurse: Miss Edith Puckett of 338 N.Ashley St. was one of the few close friends of Miss Pauline Campbell, St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital nurse whose slayers confessed early today. Miss Puckett revealed that Miss Campbell was hard of hearing and, therefore, may not have heard the youthful killer sneak up behind her Sunday morning. Three teen-aged youths -- two from Ypsilanti and one from Milan -- confessed the killing early today.
