New Patrolman - Strength of Ann Arbor's police department stands at 51 with the addition of a new patrolman, Chester Everett Carter, 23, of 518 Monroe St. Carter, a native of Vincennes, Ind., and a veteran of three years' service with the U.S. Marine Corps, is scheduled to don the uniform and walk his first beat tonight. Since his discharge from the Marines in 1946 he has been a resident of Ann Arbor and has been employed as an electrician at University Hospital.
