Police Department Band Steals Limelight

Rehearsing in the basement of City Hall for next week’s testimonial dinner for Cecil O. Creal, the six-man Police Department orchestra gets ready for its second public appearance. The combination played for a January department function and will perform for the Creal event. Identifiable by their instruments are (left to right) Detective George Stauch, saxophone; Detective Duane Bauer, violin; Patrolman Cebert Hughes, electric guitar; Patrolman Paul Koernke, piano; Patrolman George Bluhm, string bass; and Patrolman Earl Squires, drums. The band has no designated leader.
